Agreement To These Terms
These terms govern your use of the Added Advantage website and the way we describe home improvement services, care plans, and inquiries. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the forms.
A website visit is not a contract to paint a room or install a floor. Project work begins only when both sides agree a written scope. Care plans begin only when you select a plan and we confirm it by email. These terms cover the site and the general expectations around inquiries. The written scope for a specific home controls the details of that job if it conflicts with a general sentence here.
Added Advantage provides painting, flooring, tile, kitchen and bath refresh work, cabinetry and trim, color planning, and optional upkeep plans. We may decline work that is outside that craft, unsafe, or a poor fit for the way the studio is scheduled.
Using The Website
The pages are provided for general information and for sending an inquiry, subscribing, or unsubscribing. You agree to use the forms truthfully. Do not submit someone else’s email address to subscribe them, and do not use the forms to send malicious code, advertising for unrelated products, or content that is unlawful.
The site is a static, client-side experience. Validation messages appear in your browser. A thank-you message means the page accepted the form on your device. It is not, by itself, proof that a crew has been reserved. A project date exists only when we confirm it in writing.
You are responsible for the device and browser you use. We design the pages to work on current versions of common browsers. Older browsers may not show the layout as intended.
Do not attempt to probe, scrape in a way that degrades the service, or interfere with the site. The content is published so households can read it, not so it can be mirrored as another company’s website.
Inquiries And Estimates
Submitting a form invites a conversation. We may reply with questions, a request for photographs, or a suggestion that a different sequence would serve the rooms better. An estimate or outline is an offer to discuss scope. It is not a promise to start on a particular morning until it is accepted and scheduled.
The first written outline for a project is complimentary. It reflects what we know at the time. Hidden conditions — moisture under a floor, plaster that lets go when washed, cabinetry that is soft behind a door — can change the work. When we find them, we pause and write the change. You decide whether to proceed.
Photographs you send should be of the space, not of documents that contain financial account numbers. We rely on your description in good faith and you rely on our questions in good faith. If a measurement you supply is later found to be off, the scope is adjusted rather than forced.
We may refuse or stop an estimate if the site is unsafe, if access is not available, or if the request is for work we do not perform.
Scopes, Scheduling, And Access
A written scope lists rooms, preparation, materials by category, and the order of work. Dates are windows, because drying time, weather for exterior coatings, and acclimation of flooring are physical facts. We do not promise that a floor can be walked on before the finish says it can.
You agree to provide reasonable access to the rooms on the scheduled days, to kennel or manage pets, and to tell us about alarms, fragile items, and anyone who must keep a path through the house. If access is missed, the schedule moves and the delay is not a breach by the crew.
Furniture moving is described in the scope. If it is not included, the rooms need to be cleared to the level we specify before we arrive. We protect surfaces we are not refinishing, but protection is not a substitute for removing irreplaceable objects.
You agree that existing finishes may reveal earlier repairs once washing or sanding begins. That discovery is a reason to talk, not a reason to demand that the original price absorb unlimited reconstruction.
Your Responsibilities
You confirm that you are allowed to authorize work on the property. If a landlord, association, or co-owner must approve a color or a floor, you obtain that approval before we order specialty materials. Delays caused by missing approval move the schedule.
You point out conditions we should know: active leaks, recent water damage, loose railings, or electrical covers that are already damaged. We are craftspeople, not a substitute for a licensed structural or electrical investigation. If we believe a condition is unsafe or outside our trade, we will say so and pause.
Color and material approvals are yours once you accept a sample. Changing a color after paint is mixed, or a floor after it is cut, is a change to the scope and may add cost and time. We would rather pause for a day than finish a room you no longer want.
Materials And Selections
Proposals name the type of material: paint line and sheen, floor species or wear layer, tile category, grout, and hardware finish. Natural materials vary. Wood grain, stone movement, and dye lots are not defects. We order enough of one lot when the product is available, and we tell you if a lot change is unavoidable.
Samples viewed on a screen are approximate. We encourage decisions from physical samples in the room. If you instruct us to proceed from a screen image alone, you accept that the installed color may differ slightly.
Leftover paint and extra tile, when the scope includes them, are left with you for future touch-up. Care plans can use those leftovers. If they have been discarded, matching is best-effort.
Changes
Either side may propose a change. We document what is added or removed, the effect on price, and the effect on schedule before the extra work is done, except where a delay would risk immediate damage such as an open exterior wall in bad weather. In that case we stabilize and confirm the rest promptly.
You may reduce scope before the related materials are ordered or the related labor is underway. Materials already purchased for your specified color or size are your responsibility if they cannot be returned.
We may correct a clerical error in a draft estimate if we notify you before you have accepted it. An accepted scope is not revised silently.
Payment
Project payment terms are stated in the written scope: typically a scheduling amount, a progress point, and a final amount at walk-through. Care plans are billed monthly or yearly as shown on the pricing page at the time you join, and confirmed by email.
We do not collect card numbers through this website. Do not send them in a form. If a project proceeds, payment instructions are given in the scope or invoice, not in an unexpected message.
Amounts not paid when the scope says they are due may pause the work. We would rather pause than argue at the end. Disputed items should be listed in writing so finished, undisputed work can still be resolved.
Prices on the website for care plans can change for new subscribers. A plan you have already confirmed keeps the price we confirmed, until a renewal notice says otherwise with reasonable advance email notice.
Care Plans
Care plans cover the upkeep items described on the pricing page for the tier you choose. They do not include full repaints, floor replacement, tile installation, or cabinetry projects unless a separate scope says so. A visit that uncovers larger work produces a separate proposal.
You may leave a monthly plan by email before the next billing period. Yearly plans are discussed if you leave early, including work already performed and any unused period. We do not treat a plan as a penalty trap. We also do not refund a visit that has already happened.
Plan visits require the same reasonable access as projects. If a visit is missed because the home is unavailable, we reschedule once as part of the plan and thereafter may treat repeated missed visits as used.
Workmanship
We stand behind workmanship we perform: edges that we cut in, floors that we install according to the product’s requirements, and prep that we listed. The promise is to return and correct a workmanship issue that appears under normal use within the period written in your scope. If the scope names a period, that period controls.
The promise does not cover later damage, leaks from plumbing we did not alter, movement of a structure, humidity far outside the range the flooring product allows, or changes you or another trade make after we leave. It does not cover a color you approved and later decide you dislike. It does cover a color that does not match the sample you approved.
Manufacturers warrant their own products. We help you with reasonable product claims connected to what we installed, and we do not duplicate a manufacturer’s warranty as if it were our own unlimited guarantee.
Tell us about a concern promptly and give us the chance to see it before another party repairs it. That is how we correct our own work.
Site Content
Text, the Added Advantage name, the logo, page layout, and original writing on this website belong to the studio or are used with permission. You may share links to the pages. You may not copy the site design, logo, or long-form text onto another site and present it as your own service.
Project photographs on the site are of interiors and exteriors used to illustrate the kind of work we do. They are not a catalog of items for sale and not a promise that your rooms will look identical. Homes differ in light, age, and structure.
If you send a testimonial or approve a comment, you allow us to display the first name, last initial or name you provide, and the substance of the comment in connection with the studio. You can ask us to remove a quote later and we will do so on the website within a reasonable time.
Acceptable Use And Accounts
There are no user accounts on this website. Do not attempt to create a false sense that you have a private login. Do not misrepresent yourself as a member of the crew.
You may not use our name, logo, or a screenshot of a proposal to advertise a different contractor’s work. You may tell neighbors you hired us. That is different from reproducing the site.
Disclaimers
Articles and field notes on the site are general education about preparation, sheen, acclimation, and sequencing. They are not a specification for your house. A product that is right for one floor can be wrong for another. Decisions for your rooms are made in a written scope after we understand the space.
The website is provided as available. We may update pages, correct a mistake, or take a page down for maintenance. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted.
To the extent permitted by the rules that apply to the work, the studio is not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as a postponed event that was never written into the scope, or for conditions in parts of the home we were not asked to touch.
Limitation Of Liability
Where a project scope includes a liability limit, that clause controls for the project. For use of the website itself, if a dispute arises about the site rather than about construction work, our responsibility is limited to the amount you paid us specifically for website services, which for these informational pages is nothing. Construction obligations live in the project scope, not in a browse of the homepage.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for a harm that applicable rules do not allow a business to waive. If a sentence here conflicts with such a rule, the rule wins and the rest of the terms remain.
Indemnity
If you misuse the site, submit unlawful content, or authorize work you are not allowed to authorize, you agree to cover the studio’s reasonable losses and costs arising from that misuse, including reasonable legal fees, to the extent a governing rule allows that agreement.
This indemnity does not shift responsibility for our own workmanship. Our workmanship obligations are described above and in the scope.
Newsletter Terms
The newsletter is optional. By subscribing you confirm the email address is yours or that you are allowed to use it, and that you want occasional home improvement notes. You can unsubscribe at any time. We may end the newsletter entirely, in which case there is nothing further to send and nothing further owed.
We may decline or remove an address that bounces, that was subscribed without authority, or that is used to harass the studio.
Changes To These Terms
We may update these terms by posting a new version on this page with a new effective date. The version that applies to a project is the version referenced by that project’s scope, together with the scope itself. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the updated terms for future use of the site. An update does not rewrite a scope already signed or accepted by email.
Effective date: 5 October 2026.
Contact About These Terms
Questions about these terms, a scope, or a care plan can be sent to hello@addedadvantagehomecare.com. Please write from the email address you used for the inquiry so we can find the right notes. We handle these conversations by email. We do not publish a telephone number or a street address on this website.
If a concern is about finished work, include the rooms involved and a short description of what you are seeing. Photographs help. We would rather look at a specific edge than debate a general impression.
